Is Edward Worth It?

I have been a fan of the Twilight Series ever since our book club read the first title a few years back. In fact, we were only to read Twilight but by the time our book club met, I had finished both book one and its sequel, New Moon.
It is a yearly tradition to go to the midnight premier of the Twilight movies and this movie was FANTASTIC. Am I glutton for punishment? I work all day, stay up into the wee hours for a premier and after only 2-3 hours sleep, work yet another day.
I loved the movie, enjoy spending time with my kids, family and friends and will attend the next premier. I ask myself...is Edward worth it? The answer is always the same...YES! As you can tell, I am "Team Edward" yet I adore Jacob and always have.

1st Road Trip

Adelynn is on her first roadtrip. She is travelling with her mom, Gigi, and her Aunt Kailee to Oregon for a family reunion. They are planning stops in Albequeque to visit with a friend of Ginifer and then stop off in Las Vegas to visit Grandpa Steve and Uncle Nick.

Miranda says that for the most part she's done well, only a few screaming fits, but she is doing better than they thought she would.

I'm sure going to miss them. They will be gone around three weeks.

G.I. Nick

Nick joined the Army National Guard as a Medic and will be attending nine weeks of Basic Training in Fort Seal, OK beginning mid September. Afterwards he will head to Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio for his specialized training for another 18 weeks.
This past weekend he had his first drill. Here he is in his military attire with his new haircut. Doesn't he look so handsome?
Ever since he was a young boy, I knew he would eventually go into the Army. I am very proud of you Nick!

Is Chivalry Dead?

So I woke this morning to find my yard and car covered in toilet paper. Normally in a situation like this, I would call on my children to assist in the cleanup however, they were not home and I was left to do all the work myself.

Just as I reached the first tree, a man strolling past my house, while walking his dog and talking on his cell phone, said; (and I quote) "That sucks!" Yes it did suck...that man just kept on walking by. Where is the chivalry in that? Is chivalry dead? I sure hope not...but THAT man didn't seem to want to help a damsil in distress and I was late for work. Sigh!

TCU Baseball

Can you believe it? TCU's Baseball Team is in the College World Series; a first in their teams history.

They are playing again tomorrow against UCLA. UCLA has not yet lost and the series is set as double elimination which means, WE CAN NOT LOOSE. In fact, if we win against them tomorrow, we will have to play them again to see if we advance to the finals. It's a nail biter!

The Chancellor has approved an early dismissal so we can view the game tomorrow. Woohoo! TCU is a wonderful place to work.
And to the Chancellor...YOU ROCK!

Scream Baby Scream!

I hadn't been able to spend a lot of time with Miranda and her family lately so I invited them to go with me to dinner at Logan's Steakhouse. Can you say yum?

Adelynn was as precious as always...but so noisy. Yep, she has recently discovered her voice and she doesn't only coo like most babies do...she screams, and screams, and screams. She has a "piggy squeal" and then she has her scream. Ginifer, her other grandmother, said Kolynn used to do the same thing when he was a baby.

She would take her pacifier for a little while but then would decide to be vocal and the paci would fall to the ground. Twice I left the table to clean the two paci's she had.

We had a great time. It was nice spending time with Randee and her family and it was even nice to "HEAR" Ady tell us what she thought.

With Much Appreciation!

I have been a faithful follower of Natalie Clark Whitworth's blog for year's. I feel as if I have walked in her footsteps experiencing her lifes joys, accomplishments, and trials because she brings so much to her blog site.

I learned about what college life was like for her, discovered new places through her travel blogs, watched her meet a wonderful man, get married and begin a family. And I have been watching Isabelle grow.

I have posted so many comments that eventually I thought since I'm on here already then...why not? Will I have as much to say? Will I bring as much to my site as Natalie has to hers? That I am not sure of. One thing I am sure of is that Natalie is such an inspiration.

I wish to thank you Natalie for inspiring me and being so creative and helping me out with creating my blogsite. You are so wonderful and talented and I appreciate you.
